The Citywealth International Financial Centre Awards took place on 23 January 2019 at the Rosewood Hotel in London, bringing together nearly two hundred of the world's leading wealth advisers and private client managers. To celebrate Burns Night, a kilted bagpiper led guests into the dining room, and following the old Scottish tradition, of downing whisky to ‘pay the piper’ with the tumbler held over the head, upside down, to show that every drop has been drunk. 

 

The IFC awards were established eight years ago to highlight the excellence of the advisers and managers in the private wealth sector within the major international financial centres. Winners and runners-up in twenty eight categories were announced and voted for by an international panel of highly respected practitioners from all sectors and with experience of working with advisors in all the jurisdictions covered.

 

Over £10,000 was raised through sale of raffle tickets for the charity London's Air Ambulance that delivers rapid response and cutting-edge medical care to save people, suffering critical injury from road traffic accidents, falls from height and other accidents in the city.
