Citywealth Powerwomen Awards 2020

The Citywealth Powerwomen Awards 2020 took place on 4th March at the Montcalm, in London. Held on the eve of International Women's Day, the event - which is in its seventh year - celebrates individuals and companies who are supporting female leadership and diversity within the wealth management sector.

The host of the evening was television presenter Mark Durden-Smith.

Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards were announced with two further awards, The Editor’s Choice Award and The Outstanding Individual of the Year Award chosen by the Editor, Karen Jones. Winners had been selected from a shortlist of over one hundred candidates drawn up from submissions and industry recommendations, which were presided by eight judges all prominent figures from the wealth industry. Additional online voting was verified by an independent third party.

Karen Jones, Editor and CEO of Citywealth, said of the winners:

“Citywealth is delighted to have highlighted female excellence in our Powerwomen finalists who will prove to be role models for women joining or returning into the financial services industry. It is a pleasure to support their work and continued career success with these accolades. Congratulations to all the women who have been recognised in the Powerwomen Awards 2020.”

The evening raised over £5,000 in support of the charity Willow, dedicated to bringing special days to the seriously ill who are between the ages 16 and 40 years of age and live in the United Kingdom. Founders Bob and Megs Wilson attended the event to share their heartache and subsequent inspiration for the charity.
